Meet Pickles, a sweet and shy ginger lady looking for a love that lasts a lifetime. Ginger came to the SPCA as a stray and sadly her owner was never found. We’re not sure what her past includes but hopefully her future includes lots of pets, cuddles, and quiet evenings with her people. She is a gentle spirit who is looking for a quiet home with lots of cozy napping spots.
Pickles is affectionate and enjoys spending time with her favourite humans but may take a while to warm up in a new environment. She gets overwhelmed with changes and may want to hide at first until she feels safe. Give her loving pets and time to adjust, she will reward you with lots of purrs and loving company. We’re not sure if she’s ever been around other cats or animals before so we would recommend very slow, proper introductions, and other animals should ideally be calm natured.
Pickles is on the heavier side and would benefit from a healthy diet and regular playtime to help her get to a healthier weight. Because she’s rather round she has a hard time grooming herself and her adopters will need to help her with regular brushing to get her coat looking lovely and soft. With a little encouragement and love, she’ll be your perfect fall weather companion!
