Meet Jane
Meet Jane, a resilient and sweet-natured cat with a pirate’s name and a fighter’s spirit. Despite issues with her eyes, Jane remains incredibly gentle and loving. At this time, Jane will not require surgery on her eyes but the potential of enucleation (surgical removal of an eye) in the future due is a possibility along with a high likelihood of glaucoma. She may have had a rough start, but her purring never stops, and she’s always ready to curl up next to someone who offers her a warm lap and a kind word. Her condition means she’ll need a compassionate, patient adopter who’s willing to support her through possible future medical needs, but in return, you’ll receive a deeply devoted and grateful companion. Jane has a calm, laid-back demeanor and prefers quiet environments where she can rest, recover, and enjoy the simple joys of life-like soft blankets, sunny windowsills, and gentle head scratches.
For adoption applications:
1. Submit an online application and staff will contact the first suitable adopter to set-up a visit. Kindly note that due to the high number of applications, we will only be contacting suitable potential adopters to further review their interest.
OR
2. Visit the Surrey BC SPCA at 16748 50 Ave, to meet Scurvy Jane and learn more about her ideal match and apply to adopt in person.
If you are invited to meet Scurvy Jane please come prepared with a cat carrier as we do same-day adoptions if the meet goes well. We recommend being prepared with a litter bin, litter, food and water dishes, and toys before bringing your new family member home.
