Citrine is a bright little budgie who came to us as a stray, and we couldn’t resist giving him a name that reflects his brilliant yellow colouring. With the extended summer weather, many windows are being left open, and unfortunately, that has led to pet birds like Citrine finding themselves lost.

When he first arrived at the Burnaby Centre, Citrine wasn’t in the best shape. The vet diagnosed him with Avian Gastric Yeast, and he is currently undergoing treatment. Now that he is on the mend, he’s perked up a lot and showing off his true personality.

Recently, we’ve discovered that Citrine is a true Swifty! Staff have caught him dancing and chirping whenever a Taylor Swift song comes on the radio.

Citrine is ready for a forever home where he can thrive safely indoors and continue being his cheerful, lively self.
