Meet Peg Leg Pete
Avast ye land lubbers! Meet Peg Leg Pete. This handsome kitten had quite a rough start to life and is now looking for a life of love in a home where he’ll be absolutely spoiled.
He came to the BC SPCA with a group of cats and kittens who were in dire need of help, all very sick with an upper respiratory infection and parasites. With proper care and medication Pete has recovered and blossomed, and is now ready to find his fur-ever family. Being still a kitten he is absolutely bursting with playful energy and is generally found playing and wrestling with a sibling. It is important to provide lots of toys, scratching posts, and other enrichment to keep him happy as he grows. They play hard then nap hard. Peg Leg Pete is a friendly, outgoing guy, who absolutely loves all the attention and pets he can get. He would likely be fine with other animals and children with proper, slow introductions. He will make a wonderful, loving addition to a home!
Pete and the other cats/kittens that he came in with, were all sick with upper respiratory viruses which are common in cats. Though his infection is cleared up, there is the possibility of being a carrier for this virus. Because of this, and to keep Pete healthy, it is recommended he be an indoor only cat, and any other felines in the home are kept up to date with vaccinations. Ask staff for more information.
