The Surrey BC SPCA Good Shepherd Barn has a mix of Chocolate Pied and Black Pied Muscovy ducks! We are looking for experienced farm homes.

This group of 9 juveniles includes 6 males (Romeo, Leo, James, Tim, Marcus, and Dylan) and 3 females (Betty, Rebecca, and Sophia). They are quite nervous of people now, but if you know Muscovy ducks – they are sure to come around quickly with love and treats!

Fun Facts about Muscovies.

Muscovy ducks can fly really well.
They like to roost up high and have a claw on each foot to help them hold on.
They do not quack. They communicate by hissing , trills and sometimes panting.
They can live up to 15 years with proper care.
They do not swim much because their oil glands are under developed compared to most ducks but they do enjoy splashing in a kiddie pool or pond.
