Meet Lyla! Lyla is a 4-month-old Pyrenees Golden Retriever mix, searching for her furever home!

Lyla is a lively and energetic pup who is always ready for an adventure! With a playful spirit and boundless enthusiasm, she is the perfect companion for an active family looking to add a burst of joy and excitement to their lives. This spirited little pup loves to run, jump, play and explore, and is eager to learn new tricks and games.

Lyla is at the age where training and routine are critical, so she needs the consistency, patience and love of her new guardian to show her the ways of developing into a mature and fulfilled adult dog. Adopters are encouraged to attend puppy obedience classes, but the basics are a must – leash training, enrichment, routine, socializing with people and other dogs, and, of course, house training.

Lyla won’t be a puppy forever, and as she grows, there are some important things to keep in mind about the Pyrenees and Golden Retriever breeds. Both breeds are known to be protective, and have a gentle disposition, making them great family dogs! Because both breeds share the protective trait, it is imperative that her new family socializes her well with new people and dogs. Lyla has developed a very strong tendency to be jumpy and mouthy, so potential adopters would need to be willing to take this on and help her grow out of this behaviour.
