Meet Cheyenne
Meet Cheyenne!
Cheyenne is an approximately 8-year-old mare of unknown breeding, standing around 13.3hh. While she appears to be a Quarter Horse, her elegant, flashy movement hints at a possible cross with a lighter breed.
She came into our care through Animal Protection Services in June 2025. Since arriving, Cheyenne has received a full veterinary exam and is now up to date on her vaccines, deworming, dental float, and hoof trim. She arrived with a severely matted tail full of burrs, which is being carefully detangled with ongoing grooming.
Cheyenne’s training history is unknown, but she shows signs of previous groundwork and responds well to voice commands. She moves soundly at the walk, trot, and canter, and while she may be broke to ride, she has not yet been assessed under saddle. On the ground, she can be a little pushy, but responds quickly to consistent handling-making her a great match for an experienced and confident handler.
Due to her smaller stature, Cheyenne would be best suited for a youth or small adult rider. With no known health limitations at this time and a solid foundation to build on, she has the potential to blossom into a wonderful equine partner in the right home.
