Meet Clue
Meet Clue!
This sensitive girl came into the shelter with her siblings after having a rough start to life and being severely malnourished. Clue and her siblings have been in care as they work through their re-feeding plan; with time, love, and care, Clue has made significant progress on recovery.
Clue just arrived in West Van from another branch and is taking her time adjusting to this change. She is curious and sweet, and very food motivated, but we she is very timid and under socialized. Her ideal adopter will be a patient person who can help Clue build the confidence she needs. Lots of things are new for this sweet girl, so she will need slow introductions to help her adjust in her new environment.
Clue’s adoption requirements are firm due to her high fear level and potential to flee:
-A very secure, fully fenced yard (no exceptions-fencing must be escape-proof)
-A quiet, adult-only home or older kids (no young children)
-An experienced guardian who understands fearful, shutdown, or flight-risk dogs
-Plenty of time for trust-building, decompression, and structured care
-A rural or semi-rural home – Clue is not suitable for busy city living due to noise, crowds, and unpredictable activity
Clue is not a good fit for first-time dog guardians or busy households.
Don’t be fooled by all of this cuteness, Clue is also a clever little escape artist! Whether it’s squeezing through gates, climbing over fences, or trying to follow you out the door, this pup needs proper supervision and a secure environment to stay safe.
