Hugh is a large, laid-back gentleman who lives life at his own easygoing pace. He’s happiest lounging on the couch, carrying around his beloved stuffed toys, and trying (with limited success) to bark through them-it’s adorable and hilarious all at once.

He also enjoys singing the songs of his people-true to his hound roots, Hugh has a classic, soulful bay that he’ll share with you from time to time, especially if he’s got something to say (or just wants to hear himself talk through his stuffed animal).

Though he’s a strong boy with some serious muscle behind him, Hugh walks well on leash and loves a good sniffari, taking in all the scents the world has to offer.

Hugh will need a secure, fenced yard where he can safely explore and stretch his legs when the mood strikes. He’s a mellow guy with a gentle heart, and he’ll thrive in a calm home that embraces his slow-and-steady lifestyle.
