Meet Stormy!

Stormy came into our care through no fault of his own. While his early days weren’t the easiest, he’s settling in well here on the Sunshine Coast and showing us what a sweet and resilient pup he is.

Stormy doesn’t have a lot of prior training, but he’s learning quickly-he’s already working on “sit”! He’s a social guy who loves meeting new people and making friends wherever he goes.

He is a large and strong dog who can be a bit of a puller on leash, so he’ll need an experienced and confident handler who can continue his training and keep walks safe and fun for everyone.

Stormy is a big fan of car rides, toys, and sniffing everything in sight. On walks, his nose is glued to the ground-there’s just too much to explore!

He does get excitable, so he’s best suited to a home where he’s the only pet (and the only “baby,” human or furry). That said, he lived with other dogs in his previous home and gets along well with one of our resident dogs here at the shelter. No cats or small animals, please!

3. If it’s a match, staff will contact you to set up an appointment for a meet & greet.

*Side note: the more you add to your application about you and what you are looking for in a canine companion, the better we can match animals with adopters!

PLEASE NOTE: This dog is located on the Sunshine Coast and travel via BC Ferries is required to adopt. Appointments are preferred to adopt one of our animals. Please speak with shelter staff prior to visiting our branch.
