Hi there, I’m Sparkles, and I’m looking for my forever person!

I’m a very sweet girl, but I like to take things slow at first. New places and loud noises make me a little nervous, so don’t be surprised if I hide or watch from a distance when I first arrive. But give me a little time, some soft words, and gentle head scratches, and I’ll be flopping over and purring like we’ve been best friends forever.

I love people-really! I’ve met quite a few and I’m not shy about coming over for affection once I feel safe. I really love having my face and head scratched. That’s the way to my heart.

I’m also an amazing bug and mouse hunter-nothing gets past me! I love chasing toys too, especially when you play with me.

Now, I should be honest: I have boundaries. I’ll let you know (nicely at first) if I’m getting overstimulated or overwhelmed. Most people who understand cats can see the signs and give me space when I need it. I haven’t scratched my main humans in ages-but guests who didn’t know how to read my signals did get a little swat. I wasn’t trying to be mean-I just need people who respect my comfort zone.

Because of that, I’d do best in a calm home without small children, or at least somewhere I can have my own quiet, safe place to retreat to when things get too noisy.

So… if you’re kind, patient, and have a gentle heart, I’ll be your purring shadow, your playful hunter, and your loyal little Sparkles.
