Meet Goose

Meet Goose,

Goose is a 14-week-old pup with a curious nose, floppy ears, and a gentle, attentive nature. He’s confident, people-focused, and already learning basic commands thanks to being very food motivated. He sleeps well in his crate, rides calmly in the car, and enjoys exploring the world at a sniffy pace.

Goose is still a baby, which means he’s working on all the usual puppy things-house training, chewing, learning to settle, and figuring out how to be on his own. He’ll need a home that can offer patience, structure, and time to help him grow up feeling safe and supported.

He loves other dogs (especially small ones), is neutral around cats, and is affectionate without being clingy. Some of his sweetest quirks: he tilts his head when he’s curious, flops into your lap with a toy, and has a little twinkle in his eye that makes him extra charming.

Goose has all the makings of a wonderful companion. He just needs someone who’s ready for puppy life and all the learning that comes with it.

Thank you for your interest in adopting! Do you think you could be Goose’s person? Apply today!

TIP: We encourage all applicants to write a little bit about themselves when prompted. Leaving these questions empty inhibits our ability to make the best match possible and effects the likelihood of receiving a call back.

Dog Pre-Adoption Questionnaire

The Victoria Center is open for in-person adoption viewings Tuesday through Sunday, 12pm to 4pm, staff and animal well-being permitting!

Some animals may not be viewable due to limited shelter space, medical and behavioral reasons, or other contributing factors. Kitten and puppy meet and greets are by application only.

Due to the high number of applications, we will ONLY be following-up with the chosen adopter. If you do not hear back within a week, it’s likely the animal has already found a forever home. Phone inquires and emails regarding the status of your application cannot always be prioritized.

Note: As with all puppies, we recommend puppy-proofing your home and preparing for the commitment of training, exercise, and socialization. The more time and effort you put into training now will pay off tenfold when they grow into a giant slobbery member of your family. Remember, adoption is a big decision and lifetime commitment to the dog – these pups will grow into big, strong dogs and will need a family that’s ready for the adventure!

These pups are not yet spayed or neutered (S/N). Their appointments for S/N’s will be in the coming weeks. In the meantime, they are eligible to go into homes as “foster-to-adopts” and can be fully adopted after their S/N.
