Meet Arya, a resilient 8-month-old German Shephred who isn’t letting a leg amputation slow her down! Arya came into care with a broken hind leg, and our vets determined that it would need to be amputated to give this sweet girl a pain-free life. She’s adapting wonderfully to life as a Tri-Pawed, and is already eager to start zooming around chasing her squeaky toys.

Arya hasn’t had much formal training, but this intelligent girl is eager to please her people and loves to learn. She is mostly housebroken and loves to explore the world with her nose, but she is still working on her leash manners and recall. We recommend that Arya go to a dog-savvy home that is able to meet the mental and physical needs of a juvenile German Shepherd.

We believe that Arya will do best in a home without other dogs or cats, as she still needs to learn how to politely interact with other animals. Please come into the shelter during visiting hours if you would like to meet me. You can also submit an application online if I am in foster or you would like to save some time when you come visit. While we do welcome online applications, in person meets have top priority.
