Meet Badger!

Badger is a sensitive soul, ready to find a home where he can continue to grow and feel secure. Though he’s approaching 9 years old, you’d never know it from his enthusiasm for life. Like many Huskies, Badger still has plenty of energy and an adventurous streak that makes him a great partner for someone who enjoys the outdoors.

While he may be a little cautious at first, Badger has been steadily building confidence each day. He’s learning to navigate new environments and experiences, and as he opens up, his gentle, affectionate side starts to shine. He’s curious, observant, and quietly bonds with the people he trusts.

Badger’s ideal home would be with someone who’s familiar with the needs of Huskies-he’ll thrive with consistent exercise, mental challenges, and space to roam. He can be a bit possessive of his food, toys and other objects, so a home that respects his boundaries and can give him structure will help him feel safe and understood. Badger should be the only animal in the household due to this behaviour.

If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will reward your patience with quiet devotion, Badger might be the perfect addition to your life. With time, love, and a bit of space to be himself, he’ll make a wonderful, steadfast friend! 🐺❤️

Do you think you could be Badger’s person? Here are some ways to find out:

1.) Visit our centre to meet this pet during adoption viewings Friday to Wednesday noon to 3pm, learn more about their ideal match, and apply to adopt in person; or
2.)Submit an online application adopt.spca.bc.ca and staff will contact the first suitable adopter to set-up a visit! Kindly note that due to the high number of applications and the availability of walk-in adoptions an online applicant would have to be available to come in for a meet within 24 hrs.

*Side note: the more you add to your application about you and what you are looking for in a canine companion, the better we can match animals with adopters!
