Meet Duchess
Duchess came into care as a tiny 3 month old puppy with some big challenges ahead of her. From day one, it was clear she had a long medical journey in front of, but Duchess beat the odds and overcame every medical obstacle in her way.
Now, fresh off a successful surgery to repair both her eyes, Duchess is feeling better and ready to find a forever family to call her own.
Despite everything she’s been through, Duchess is still very much a puppy at heart. She’s a super goofy, clumsy, outgoing girl who absolutely loves to play. Her past neurological condition may leave her with some mild lifelong quirks, but they don’t slow her down one bit. She’s full of life and always up for a new adventure.
She has lived in foster care with children, horses, and other dogs, and has thrived in every environment, especially when given clear structure and consistent guidance. Duchess seems to take change in stride and adjusts easily, but she’ll still need a committed and experienced home, one that can continue helping her grow into a well-rounded adult dog. Keep in mind, Duchess is going to be a big girl once she’s fully grown, so she’ll need a home that’s ready for large-breed life.
She enjoys walks, is gentle on leash, and loves to explore the world around her. Duchess is all about making the most of each moment.
She’s overcome a lot, and now it’s her time to shine. If you’re looking for a fun, silly, deserving dog, then Duchess may just be for you!
