Meet Thor!

Thor is a medium/large mixed breed pup, who was surrendered through no fault of his own, with his brother Apollo. Thor just arrived at the Sunshine Coast Branch after weeks of traveling from shelter to shelter to get here.

We’re just getting to know this handsome 8-month-old boy, but he has been friendly and brave arriving to our facility! Thor doesn’t know many commands other than “sit”, which he is still learning. He has never met children or cats, nor has he been in a car!

Thor definitely looks to his brother Apollo for guidance and support. Thor would do well with another friendly dog in the home to learn and bond with.

Thor will need a capable handler, who can help him learn his manners, and set him up for success. Working with an Animal-Kind-Certified trainer is also recommended. Thor will need lots of mental and physical enrichment to keep him entertained and fulfilled.

All in all, Thor has a lot he needs to learn about the world, but he is making friends and building confidence every day, and is ready to find his fur-ever family!

3. If it’s a match, staff will contact you to set up an appointment for a meet & greet.

*Side note: the more you add to your application about you and what you are looking for in a canine companion, the better we can match animals with adopters!

PLEASE NOTE: This dog is located on the Sunshine Coast and travel via BC Ferries is required to adopt. Appointments are preferred to adopt one of our animals. Please speak with shelter staff prior to visiting our branch.
