Meet Marmalade

Meet Marmalade!

Marmalade is a gentle, senior cat with a quiet presence and a big heart. While he isn’t a lap cat, he enjoys being close to his people and is happiest curled up beside you during a relaxing evening at home. He’s especially known for his master biscuit-making skills!

Marmalade previously lived alongside his sister, but is now flying solo. He would likely enjoy the company of another, laid-back feline, though seems just as happy on his lonesome (if a bit lonely). Marmalade would do best in a low-stress environment with a consistent routine. A retired adopter or someone who works from home would be ideal, as he settles into this new chapter.

Marmalade has been diagnosed with hyperthyroidism and requires daily medication to manage his condition. He takes his medication well and will benefit from regular veterinary visits to support his ongoing health. Our team will review his medical history and treatment plan in detail to ensure a smooth transition into his new home.

Due to his age and medical needs, it’s important that potential adopters are prepared-both emotionally and financially-to support Marmalade’s care. In return, he will offer quiet companionship and the unique comfort only a senior cat can provide. Marmalade is currently awaiting dental surgery.

If you’re ready to open your heart and home to a truly special cat, Marmalade is waiting to meet you.

TIP: We encourage all applicants to write a little bit about themselves when prompted. Leaving these questions empty inhibits our ability to make the best match possible, and effects the likelihood of receiving a call back.

Cat Pre-Adoption Questionnaire

The Victoria Center is open for in-person adoption viewings Tuesday through Sunday, 12pm to 4pm, staff and animal well-being permitting.

Some animals may not be viewable due to limited shelter space, medical and behavioral reasons, or other contributing factors. Kitten and puppy meet and greets are by application only.

Due to the high number of applications, we will ONLY be following-up with the chosen adopter. If you do not hear back within a week, it’s likely the animal has already found a forever home. Phone inquires and emails regarding the status of your application cannot always be prioritized.

Animals cannot be held for potential adopters for more than 24 hours without a legitimate reason.
