Meet Tasha
Tasha was born to run on 3 legs! She is confident and natural in maneuvering herself and is healing well after her surgery. Tasha is sweet, snuggly, and is happy to dole out kisses and lay in the sun. As she is healing, we’re hoping to help her build some muscle and regrow her luscious locks.
This little Tasha has proven to be one tough cookie! She is just as happy to take herself out to the yard as she is to curl up in your lap all day. A natural on 3 legs, Tasha is already able to zip across the yard as well as up and down stairs, and continues to improve each day since her surgery.
Tasha has just turned two, sleeps through the night has proven to be both potty and crate trained. She’s quiet at home and happy to spend time alone when needed.
Despite some initial shyness, Tasha was quick to make herself comfortable in her foster home. She has been living with 3 male Australian Shepherds, including a puppy and a senior, and has integrated into their routines quite well. That said, Tasha is a tiny gal, and so a home with fewer and/or smaller dogs may be better suited. She has not been tested with children, cats, or small dogs, but given her sweet temperament so far we are optimistic that she could do well in almost any home with proper introductions.
Thank you for your interest in adopting! Do you think you could be Tasha’s person? Apply today!
TIP: We encourage all applicants to write a little bit about themselves when prompted to give us a better idea of who you are.
The Victoria Center is open for in-person adoption viewings Tuesday through Sunday, 12pm to 4pm, staff and animal well-being permitting!
Some animals may not be viewable due to limited shelter space, medical and behavioral reasons, or other contributing factors. Kitten and puppy meet and greets are by application only.
Due to the high number of applications, we will ONLY be following-up with the chosen adopter. If you do not hear back within a week, it’s likely the animal has already found a forever home. Phone inquires and emails regarding the status of your application cannot always be prioritized.
Animals cannot be held for potential adopters for more than 24 hours without a legitimate reason.
