Meet Teika
Meet Teika, a senior cat with a heart full of love and a personality that cherishes tranquility!
Teika’s demeanor is shy yet sweet toward people, she loves a cuddle and melts into a chin scratch. She would be a perfect fit for retired individuals or those who work from home, offering her soothing presence as a constant companion. In her previous home, Teika has shown to not get along well with other animals, and seeing other animals from windows indoors can cause her anxiety and fear. Adopting Teika means gaining a loving, gentle friend who will appreciate your calm and quiet lifestyle as much as you will cherish her sweet and gentle nature.
Keep your new family member safe and keep them inside! Consider investing in a catio or “cat-proofing” your balcony/deck. Leash-training, or letting your cat tag along in a pet backpack, are other safe options for outdoor-loving felines.

Thank you for your interest in adopting! Do you think you could be Teika’s person? Apply today!
TIP: We encourage all applicants to write a little bit about themselves when prompted. Leaving these questions empty inhibits our ability to make the best match possible, and effects the likelihood of receiving a call back.
The Victoria Center is open for in-person adoption viewings Tuesday through Sunday, 12pm to 4pm, staff and animal well-being permitting.
Some animals may not be viewable due to limited shelter space, medical and behavioral reasons, or other contributing factors. Kitten and puppy meet and greets are by application only.
Due to the high number of applications, we will ONLY be following-up with the chosen adopter. If you do not hear back within a week, it’s likely the animal has already found a forever home. Phone inquires and emails regarding the status of your application cannot always be prioritized.
