Meet Dixie – A Quiet Star in the Making 🌟

Hello fine people of this great province! We’d like to introduce you to a very special little lady: Dixie.

Dixie is a 6-month-old sweetheart who came to us as a stray. From what we can tell, she hasn’t had much experience with people, but we saw something special in her gentle eyes. To help her feel safe and start trusting humans, we placed her in a loving foster home-and we’re thrilled to say she’s made incredible progress!

These days, Dixie enjoys the finer things in life-like curling up to watch reruns of the original Star Trek (none of that remake stuff for this girl). She’s also begun to enjoy the company of her foster mom and has even started accepting gentle touches. Loud noises and quick movements still startle her, but day by day, she’s learning that the world isn’t such a scary place after all.

Dixie would thrive in a quiet, patient home-somewhere calm where she can continue to blossom at her own pace. We’re not sure how she would do with children, as their energy might be a bit overwhelming right now. However, another friendly cat could be a great companion and role model for her.

Dixie still needs to be spayed, so she’ll be adopted under a foster-to-adopt agreement. Ideally, her new home will be in Chilliwack or the surrounding area to accommodate her vet visit.
