Meet Rena

Add to favourites

Meet Rena, a shy and sweet soul who is learning to trust the world one step at a time. With a bit of a rocky start, she’s still adjusting to new experiences and people, and it takes her a little while to feel comfortable in new situations. But once she bonds with you, her playful and goofy personality shines through.

Though she may start off timid, Rena is slowly coming out of her shell and is beginning to show her love for cuddles and quiet lap time with those she feels safe with. She’s discovered that playing can be fun too, and her gentle, affectionate side is slowly emerging.

She’s looking for a patient, understanding home where she can take her time getting to know you and the world around her. Slow introductions are key for this little one, but with time and love, we know she’ll continue to flourish and become an incredibly loyal companion. If you’re ready to help Rena grow in a calm, supportive environment, you’ll be rewarded with a sweet, loving friend for life.

Thank you for your interest in adopting! Do you think you could be Rena’s person? Apply today!

TIP: We encourage all applicants to write a little bit about themselves when prompted. Leaving these questions empty inhibits our ability to make the best match possible and effects the likelihood of receiving a call back.

Dog Pre-Adoption Questionnaire

The Victoria Center is open for in-person adoption viewings Tuesday through Sunday, 12pm to 4pm, staff and animal well-being permitting!

Some animals may not be viewable due to limited shelter space, medical and behavioral reasons, or other contributing factors. Kitten and puppy meet and greets are by application only.

Due to the high number of applications, we will ONLY be following-up with the chosen adopter. If you do not hear back within a week, it’s likely the animal has already found a forever home. Phone inquires and emails regarding the status of your application cannot always be prioritized.

Animals cannot be held for potential adopters for more than 24 hours without a legitimate reason.
