Meet our friend Barry!

This sweet giant is looking for a patient and understanding home to guide him into his new world. He loves his people and cant wait to place his head into your lap and close his eyes, feeling a sense of safety and love. He’s so affectionate!!

Barry is seeking a special home who understands that he struggles with big separation anxiety, and is willing to give him the time to help him learn skills to cope. His new world has been a huge adjustment, so he just asks for your patience!

He tends to chew things he’s not supposed to when feeling anxious, and would benefit greatly from some enriching outlets to make this less scary. Barry has had dog friends, but he also has had some negative interactions with other dogs in our care so he would most likely be best suited for a home without other animals to help lessen his stress.

Barry would do best with someone who doesn’t work fulltime, or maybe even works from home so he doesn’t have to go long stretches by himself. He would really love someone willing to build him up to being left for short periods, and is sure to make great strides with the right Positive Reinforcement training!

This fella would not be suitable for an apartment lifestyle, so is hoping to find someone with lots of space to share with him and the chance to have lots of adventures!
