Meet Leia! This special lady came into our care when a good Samaritan discovered her in a cardboard box along with a written note pleading for someone to take her and love her. For this reason we are unsure of her history, but she has gone from a sassy and angry kitty to a needy lovebug. This is what her foster parents have to say about her:

Leia is a perfect companion for a quiet home, ideally with someone who works from home or is retired because she loves to be around people all the time. Throughout the day, she supervises us from her cat tree or micromanages our work by sitting on the keyboard. She follows us around to the bathroom, couch, and bed, chirping and brushing against our legs. She loves to be picked up and cuddled. One of our favorite things about her is how talkative she is, with her cute little meows and chirps. Her past times include sitting on the fenced balcony, watching bird TV, digging in her paper box for treats, and being brushed. With her long coat, her future human needs to continue helping her learn to enjoy brushing all over her body.

Leia is also perfectly behaved around our apartment. She uses her scratching post, leaves my house plants alone, doesn’t bother us while we’re sleeping at night, and is friendly with guests. Even when we inevitably annoy her with too much attention, she will give us only the gentlest swat without claws to politely communicate her boundaries.

Overall, she has the sweetest, most colorful and lovable personality, while being the perfect balance of needy and independent!
