Meet Lynx

Add to favourites

Lynx is looking for a patient, understanding and experienced cat owner who can provide him with the care and support he needs to settle in to a new home and here are a few suggestions to help Lynx transition and let his true personality shine
*Slow introduction: allow Lynx to acclimate at his own pace. Give him time to explore his new surroundings gradually. Avoid overwhelming him with too many new experiences or interactions all at once.
* Patience and understanding: Lynx may initially be hesitant or fearful. Be patient and allow him to set the pace.
* Establish a routine: Cats thrive on routine, and having a consistent schedule can help him feel more secure and settled.
* Interactive playtime. Use toys that stimulate his natural instincts. This will help build his confidence and create positive associations with you and his new environment.
* Positive reinforcement: Use tube treats, praise and gentle strokes to reward Lynx for positive behaviour and interactions. This will help him to associate positive experiences with you and build trust over time.

Lynx was used to living with a couple other cats so may do well joining a home with a friendly resident cat but he might also thrive as a solo cat. Lynx did not have much interaction with the family he lived with so is still learning to trust.

He is slowly showing his true colours of being loving and gentle and has been enjoying gentle cheek pets. We know the right home that will continue to make progress with him is out there for him, could that be you?

Here is how to find out:

Submit an online application adopt.spca.bc.ca and staff will contact the first suitable adopter to set-up a visit! Kindly note that due to the high number of applications and the availability of walk-in adoptions an online applicant would have to be available to come in for a meet within 24 hrs.
