Meet Dayte
Meet Dayte!
This sweetheart is eagerly awaiting a warm, cozy place to call home! Like her brother, Dayte can be shy at first. Give her some time to settle in, and you’ll find she is exceptionally affectionate and very playful. Initially brought to the Alberni SPCA, Dayte, her brother, and their mother are ready for a fresh start (and their forever families!) in Victoria! We believe having another cat in the home, or being adopted out with Figgie, might help her feel more at ease.

Keep your new family member safe and consider investing in a catio or “cat-proofing” your balcony/deck.

Thank you for your interest in adopting! Do you think you could be Dayte’s person? Apply today!
TIP: We encourage all applicants to write a little bit about themselves when prompted. Leaving these questions empty inhibits our ability to make the best match possible, and reduces the likelihood of receiving a call back.
The Victoria Center is open for in-person adoption viewings Tuesday through Sunday, 12pm to 4pm, staff and animal well-being permitting!
Some animals may not be viewable due to limited shelter space, medical and behavioral reasons, or other contributing factors. Kitten and puppy meet and greets are by application only.
Due to the high number of applications, we will ONLY be following-up with the chosen adopter. If you do not hear back within a week, it’s likely the animal has already found a forever home.
Animals cannot be held for potential adopters for more than 24 hours without a legitimate reason.
