Bert is a sweet and shy guinea pig who came to us alongside his bonded brother, Ernie. They can be a bit nervous in new situations, as they came from a home with many other animals but were not handled much before arriving at the shelter. While they are still adjusting to their new environment, Ernie and Bert are gentle and kind-hearted pigs who are gradually gaining confidence!

Bert is a gentle soul who takes time to build trust, but with patience and a calm approach, he’s making wonderful progress. He’s highly food-motivated, so staff has been using treats to encourage him to feel more comfortable and build confidence. While Bert is still a bit shy, he enjoys quiet moments and is learning to enjoy gentle interactions.

Ernie and Bert share a strong bond and are looking for a quiet home with experience caring for guinea pigs, where they can continue their companionship and further their trust in people.
