Meet Jasper
Meet Jasper!
Jasper is a spirited, fun-loving pup who’s full of energy and heart! He lives for playtime-especially a good game of fetch-and loves to show off his goofy personality. He’s already learned some basics like “sit,” “down,” and “paw,” and is always motivated when treats are involved.
Jasper will thrive in an active home with a patient, committed adopter who can continue guiding him on his training journey. While he’s eager to please, he can get a bit jumpy and mouthy when excited, so structure and consistency will be important. A securely fenced yard is ideal for giving him the space to play, train, and burn off energy safely. He’ll benefit from continued leash work and confidence-building activities, including gradual training to help him feel more comfortable when left alone.
We’re looking for a dedicated adopter who understands the value of positive reinforcement and is willing to invest time into his development. Working with an AnimalKind Certified Trainer is highly encouraged and will help strengthen your bond and set Jasper up for success. To support his transition, we’re happy to provide training resources and guidance to his new family.
If you’re interested in meeting Jasper, please fill out an application and tell us about your lifestyle, home environment, and any dog experience you have. The more we know, the better we can ensure Jasper finds his best match. Our team will follow up with suitable applicants to chat more about Jasper’s personality, progress, and needs, and to learn more about you before arranging a meet and greet.
Do you think you could be Jasper’s person? Here are some ways to find out:
1.) Visit our centre to meet this pet during adoption viewings Friday to Wednesday noon to 3pm, learn more about their ideal match, and apply to adopt in person; or
2.)Submit an online application adopt.spca.bc.ca and staff will contact the first suitable adopter to set-up a visit! Kindly note that due to the high number of applications and the availability of walk-in adoptions an online applicant would have to be available to come in for a meet within 24 hrs.
*Side note: the more you add to your application about you and what you are looking for in a canine companion, the better we can match animals with adopters!
