Meet Nash!

Nash is a fun-loving, high-energy pup who’s ready to bring joy, laughter, and excitement into your life! He’s happiest when he’s chasing a ball or showing off his goofy side, and he’s already picked up commands like “sit”, “down” and “paw,” especially when treats are on the line.

Nash is eager to learn and has been working hard on his training, but he’ll need a committed adopter who can continue this journey with him. When Nash is excited, he can be jumpy and a bit mouthy at times. His ideal home includes a securely fenced backyard, where he can burn off energy and focus on his training in a safe space. Ongoing leash work and confidence-building exercises-such as gradual alone-time training-are key to helping him thrive.

We’re specifically looking for an understanding dog adopter who knows the importance of consistency, structure, and positive reinforcement. Partnering with an AnimalKind Certified Trainer is strongly recommended and will go a long way in helping Nash transition successfully and strengthen the bond between you. We will gladly support Nash’s transition into his new home by setting up his family with training resources and support to ensure Nash is set up for success!

In order to meet Nash, please fill out an application and provide as much detail as possible about yourself, your lifestyle and any dog experience you may have. The more information we have about you the better we can match Nash with the perfect family! Our staff will connect with suitable adopters to discuss all things Nash with you! This allows us to share more about Nash’s needs, personality, and training progress, and gives us a chance to learn about your lifestyle and experience so we can then set up a meet and greet!

Do you think you could be Nash’s person? Here are some ways to find out:

1.) Visit our centre to meet this pet during adoption viewings Friday to Wednesday noon to 3pm, learn more about their ideal match, and apply to adopt in person; or
2.)Submit an online application adopt.spca.bc.ca and staff will contact the first suitable adopter to set-up a visit! Kindly note that due to the high number of applications and the availability of walk-in adoptions an online applicant would have to be available to come in for a meet within 24 hrs.

*Side note: the more you add to your application about you and what you are looking for in a canine companion, the better we can match animals with adopters!
