Life hasn’t always been easy for me, but at just 3 years old, I still believe in second chances. I’m a smart, affectionate girl with so much love to give – I just need the right person (or people) to share it with.

I bond quickly with my humans and once I feel safe, I’ll be your shadow, your snuggle buddy, your biggest fan. I love belly rubs and cozy cuddles. But here’s the thing: I need a calm, adult-only home, with no other pets. I really want to be the center of your world – and trust me, I’ll return the favor tenfold.

Because I’m protective of the people I love, it’s important that everyone in the household builds a relationship with me. I’ve got a big heart and a big sense of loyalty – sometimes I just need help understanding the world around me.

I’m crate-trained (my crate is like my little safe haven) and I’m working hard every day to build my confidence. New situations and unfamiliar faces can be a bit scary, but with patient, positive reinforcement and a predictable routine, I thrive.

A secure, fenced yard is a must for me – I enjoy a good sniff and a zoomie in a quiet space. On leash, I walk well in low-distraction areas, although I might get a little excited by birds or squirrels. (Hey, a girl’s gotta have hobbies!) But if you tell me to “leave it,” I listen. I’m super smart and love learning – especially when it means more treats and praise!

When it comes to meeting other dogs, I need slow, careful introductions. My protective instincts can make me a bit reactive, especially if I feel like my person is in danger (even if they’re not). I promise I’m working on it, but I’ll need someone committed to continuing my training and helping me feel safe.

If you’re patient, kind, and willing to put in the time to help me adjust, I promise to be the most loyal, loving companion you could ask for. You’ll need to attend an adoption counselling session to help us get off on the right paw – but I promise I’m worth it.
