Meet Bernard!

Recently surrendered through no fault of her own, Bernard follows in her kitten’s footsteps as she too, patiently awaits the perfect forever home. This sweet girl would make a wonderful companion to those in need of a little love. Although endearingly affectionate, Bernard tends to scares easily and would likely find living with excitable toddlers or young children stressful. Pre-teens and teenagers shouldn’t be a problem so long as they are aware of, and respect her boundaries. We believe she would do best in a quieter, indoor-only home with at least one or two windows for her to perch on. Bernard may enjoy spending supervised time outdoors in a catio or other “cat-proofed” space (such as a patio or deck).

Thank you for your interest in adopting! Do you think you could be Bernard’s person? Apply today!

TIP: We strongly suggest all applicants to write a little bit about themselves when prompted. Leaving these questions empty inhibits our ability to make the best match possible, and drastically effects the likelihood of receiving a call back.

Cat Pre-Adoption Questionnaire

Visit the BC SPCA Victoria Center to potentially view this pet and apply to adopt in person, or submit an online application and staff will contact the first suitable adopter to set-up a visit.

Due to the high number of applications, we will ONLY be contacting select individuals to further review their interest. While we do our best to let applicants know whether they’ve been selected or not, the center is extremely busy! If you do not hear back within a week, it’s likely the animal has already found a forever home. Phone inquires regarding the status of your application cannot always be prioritized.

PLEASE NOTE that some animals may not be available for public viewing due to limited shelter space, medical and behavioral reasons, or other contributing factors. Kittens are not available for viewing as they are often in foster homes for health & safety reasons.

The Victoria Center is open for in-person adoption viewings Tuesday through Sunday, 12pm to 4pm, staff and animal well-being permitting!
