Meet Missy!

A recent transfer from the Port Alberni SPCA, this timid girl is still adjusting to her new environment. When Missy first arrived, she was nursing a litter of kittens and spent most of the time in foster care. Now that they’ve been weaned and adopted out, it’s time for this dedicated mama to find her own forever home. Staff described her as friendly (if a bit shy) and quite affectionate once properly acquainted. It may be possible for her to co-exist with another cat, though she’d probably prefer being the sole feline. We’ve yet to see her full personality, so stay tuned for more updates!

Missy is looking for a home that will keep her strictly indoors, with supervised outside time on a leash or in a catio.

Thank you for your interest in adopting! Do you think you could be Missy’s person? Apply today!

Friendly tip: If you’re looking for a surefire way to make your application to stand out, consider telling us a little bit about yourself in the “anything else you’d like us to know?” section! What brought you to adopt? Have you had any previous pets? What makes you the perfect match for this animal? Write as little or as much as you’d like!

Cat Pre-Adoption Questionnaire

Visit the BC SPCA Victoria Center to potentially view this pet and apply to adopt in person; OR

Submit an online application and staff will contact the first suitable adopter to set-up a visit.

Due to the high number of applications, we will only be contacting potential matches to further review their interest. If you have any questions about an animal, please send us an email in lieu of calling. Our phone lines are extremely busy and we are not always able to answer every inquiry.

PLEASE NOTE that some animals may not be available for public viewing due to limited shelter space, medical and behavioral reasons, or other contributing factors. Kittens are not available for viewing as they are often in foster homes for health & safety reasons. We strongly recommend interested parties submit an application using the above the link to arrange a potential meet and greet.

The Victoria Center is open for in-person adoption viewings Tuesday through Sunday, 12pm to 4pm, staff and animal well-being permitting!

Animals cannot be held for potential adopters for more than 24 hours without a legitimate reason.
