Meet Portia!
Portia is a gentle and affectionate dog who came into our care when her previous owner could no longer care for her. This big, sweet girl loves being around people and she loves belly rubs and enjoys running around the yard. Given her size, she will need a home with enough space for her to roam comfortably.
She is eager to please and loves treats, making training a fun bonding experience. Portia would do best in a home without children.
Portia is a loving and resilient dog who deserves a caring home where she can get the support she needs to thrive. 🐾❤️
Do you think you could be Portia’s person? Here are some ways to find out:
1.) Visit our centre to meet this pet during adoption viewings Friday to Wednesday noon to 3pm, learn more about their ideal match, and apply to adopt in person; or
2.) Submit an online application adopt.spca.bc.ca and staff will contact the first suitable adopter to set-up a visit! Kindly note that due to the high number of applications and the availability of walk-in adoptions an online applicant would have to be available to come in for a meet within 24 hrs.

Richmond Adoption Fees
*Fees vary by location and are subject to change without notice. Adoption fees are subject to PST (Provincial Sales Tax), which will be added at the time of adoption.
All BC SPCA cat/kitten/dog/puppy/rabbit adoptions include a microchip and lifetime registration with the BC Pet Registry.
Registration for lifetime protection is $45 for cats/kittens/dogs/puppies and $11.25 for rabbits, which will be added to the adoption fee. For more information please visit bcpetregistry.ca
