Beautiful Bonnie was found as a stray with wounds over her face and neck, so we don’t know much about her previous life. She is a mellow but friendly, playful cat who likes snuggling on her terms. She also loves her stuffed mouse and furry tail toy. Bonnie can be very chatty, especially at meal time!
Bonnie would likely be okay in a home with older kids who respect her boundaries. We’re not sure what she would do with other animals so proper, slow introductions would be important. She is a very fluffy girl and will require lots of brushing which she enjoys.
Bonnie came in to the SPCA with suspected allergies that caused her skin to become very itchy to the point she severely scratched herself up. To prevent this she is on a hypoallergenic food (Hills Z/D) plus a medication (Atopica) to manage her allergies and it is very important she stays on a appropriate diet. It is not clear at this time if she will require the medication for life, but it is a possibility. Potential adopters will need to be comfortable with managing her allergies and any vet care required. She will also need to stay as an INDOOR ONLY cat.
