Meet Chai
Meet Chai, an adorable 9-month-old Rough Collie cross with a sweet and gentle nature! Chai is still in his young adult phase, so he’s full of curiosity and eagerness to learn. He already knows some basic commands, showing he’s a smart pup with great potential. However, like any young dog, he’ll need a patient and committed owner to continue teaching him the finer points of good manners and help him grow into a well-behaved adult. Chai can also be a bit hesitant meeting new people, so his ideal home would be adult only or with respectful older children. Chai does suffer from separation anxiety and needs a home where he won’t be left alone for long periods of time.
Chai does have one puppy habit-he can be a little messy in his kennel, so his new family will need to work with him on cleanliness and routine. But with a bit of guidance, he’ll catch on in no time.
When it comes to other dogs, Chai is generally social, especially with females, but he’ll need slow and careful introductions to ensure positive interactions as he continues working on his socialization skills. His sweet nature and eagerness to please make him a fantastic candidate for a home that can offer him love, structure, and a bit of training.

2. Submit an online application adopt.spca.bc.ca and staff will contact the first suitable adopter to set-up a visit! Kindly note that due to the high number of applications and the availability of walk-in adoptions, an online applicant would have to be available to come in for a meet within
24 hrs.
Please note we open daily (with the exception of Thursdays, as we are closed to the public) at 1:00 PM for viewing/adoptions. Weekdays until 5:00 PM

*Fees vary by location and are subject to change without notice. Adoption fees are subject to PST (Provincial Sales Tax), which will be added at the time of adoption.
All BC SPCA cat/kitten/dog/puppy/rabbit adoptions include a microchip and lifetime registration with the BC Pet Registry.
