Meet Toothless

Add to favourites

Meet our resilient bearded dragon who came to us as a stray from Burnaby Lake! Initially thought to be a young juvenile due to his size, he’s actually almost an adult now. This little guy likely didn’t receive the best care early in life, and he’s now looking for an experienced home with someone who understands the needs of bearded dragons and has experience caring for them.

Our bearded dragon has a few unique quirks that make him a fantastic companion. He has his own early sleep/wake schedule, probably due to a lack of proper heat and light in his previous home. He’s hungry by 8 a.m. and usually asleep by 4:30 p.m. He absolutely loves basking in the sunshine on his hot pad and finds great comfort there.

While he’s not keen on being patted or handled, he enjoys being near you on his pad. He also loves to run around, so be prepared for some active moments! This little man is looking for a home where he can thrive and be cared for by someone with past experience with bearded dragons. If you’re ready to provide the love and care he deserves, he’s ready to join your family!

Do you think you could be Toothless’ person? Here are some ways to find out:

1.) Visit our centre to meet this pet during adoption viewings Friday to Wednesday noon to 3pm, learn more about their ideal match, and apply to adopt in person; or

2.) Submit an online application adopt.spca.bc.ca and staff will contact the first suitable adopter to set-up a visit! Kindly note that due to the high number of applications and the availability of walk-in adoptions an online applicant would have to be available to come in for a meet within 24 hrs.
