Meet Clyde!

This handsome boy is waiting for his furever home.

Clyde is a young and very energetic Shepherd mix who will need an active experienced home. Due to past trauma in his life, Clyde has some unusual behaviour. Clyde has a hard time focusing, and can be jumpy/mouthy. We have worked hard to reduce this behaviour in the shelter, but he will need an experienced home who is comfortable with continuing positive reinforcement training. Clyde is very food motivated, so can be redirected using treats.

Clyde needs to keep his mind busy with puzzles and kongs, and loves to entertain himself with squeaky toys and stuffies. He is very playful and loves to spend time outside. Clyde will need a home with outdoor space to run around, ideally this will be away from the city as loud noises and busy roads are scary for him.

Walking on leash can be overstimulating for Clyde, and he will need someone to help him work on walking well on a leash. Although Clyde likes people’s company, he still struggles with trust and will need someone who is kind and patient.
Clyde enjoys the company of other dogs and loves to play with them.

Do you think you could be Clyde’s person? Here are some ways to find out:

Please submit on online application to be reviewed before meeting this boy in person.
