Meet Mr. Buster, a sweet but extremely timid soul looking for a patient and understanding forever home. This precious guy has had a ruff start in life, having spent his first several years with little to no positive human interactions, before finding refuge at the SPCA. As a result, Buster is very fearful and nervous, lacking confidence and struggling to adjust to the world around him.
Despite his past, Buster shows a glimmer of hope and trust with those whom he feels most comfortable. He needs to be given plenty of time to build up trust and adjust to new environments. This suggests that with the right approach and environment, Buster has the potential to blossom into a loving and loyal companion though he will likely always be an anxious dog. He isn’t really too keen on city life but is happiest and the most relaxed when he’s out hiking with his foster mom.
Buster Bar is seeking a quiet home with patient and experienced adopters who can provide a structured routine and gentle guidance to help build his confidence. We believe an adult only household with a friendly, self assured dog could provide him with the companionship and comfort he needs to continue to build his confidence. He can be uncertain of other animals initially and needs slow introductions but will eventually find comfort in them and may even eventually find his playful side, though it could take a while.

*Fees vary by location and are subject to change without notice. Adoption fees are subject to PST (Provincial Sales Tax), which will be added at the time of adoption.
All BC SPCA cat/kitten/dog/puppy/rabbit adoptions include a microchip and lifetime registration with the BC Pet Registry.
Registration for lifetime protection is $45 for cats/kittens/dogs/puppies and $11.25 for rabbits, which will be added to the adoption fee. For more information please visit bcpetregistry.ca
