Meet Lucy!

Lucy is a sweet and resilient dog who is searching for her forever home. Lucy’s journey began when she was discovered tied to a post outside our shelter, a timid soul in need of love and care. At first, Lucy may come across as shy when meeting new people, but beneath that initial hesitation lies a heart brimming with affection waiting to be discovered. Gaining her trust may take some time, but it’s a journey worth embarking on. Once Lacey opens up to you, she’s an absolute sweetheart. She adores cuddles and isn’t shy about showing it. Watch as she playfully flops onto her back, inviting belly rubs, and charmingly whines and paws at you, urging you to continue.

Lucy has also made a few furry friends during her time in our care. She thrives in the company of other dogs, particularly larger male companions. A patient and equally playful canine friend could be the perfect match for her. However, Lucy’s preference leans toward a calm and quiet environment, where she can feel secure and at ease. During her stay with us, Lucy has been working on her barrier reactivity and has shown remarkable progress through training. With a committed and patient owner, she is sure to continue improving and blossoming into the wonderful companion she’s meant to be. Lacey will need to meet any interested families multiple times to gain her trust before taking her home.
