**udpate: Meowii has been amazing at using his litterbox in shelter, even when given a whole room with lots of nice fabrics to pee on! He is a shy boy, but so sweet, and we are confident that he will continue his litterbox success in the right home*
This shy, chunky man can’t wait to find his special person!
Meowii is very sweet, but very nervous and would benefit from an experienced cat owner who is willing to give him the time and space he will need to come out of his shell on his own time. He does love getting scratched (especially bum and chin scratches!) so you should be able to win him over pretty quickly!
Meowii would do best in a quiet, calm, adult only home as stress can cause him to urinate outside of the litter box. Since coming to the shelter he has only had one accident outside of his litter box! What a good boy!!
His perfect home would include one with no other cats or dogs, an indoor only lifestyle, a place with lots of good hidey spots so he can feel secure, and a pawrent who will help him along his weight loss journey. Meowii LOVES having cat trees to nap in, climb up and hang out in, this is where we can usually find him, curled up in a comfy little ball, ready for some chin scratches!
