Sitka is a fun loving boy looking for his second chance at life with an experienced dog owner! Sitka has not had an easy start to life but his silly personality wouldn’t tell you that! Sitka lacks socialization and training as a puppy. He is happy, boisterous, and playful! He can sometimes be a little too playful as he likes to chew and mouth a lot still. He is a young puppy in a big dog’s body! Sitka is nervous when meeting new people, but will warm up given time. He loves to play and meet new dogs. We are unsure how Sitka would be around small animals and livestock. Sitka is looking for a guardian that will be patient while he still continues to learn new life skills. He does have separation anxiety so can become vocal or chew things when left alone. He loves being with his people so will need time to adjust to being left alone slowly. He is smart, eager, and VERY treat motivated so makes learning new things easier for him. Sitka is looking for an active guardian that can mentally and physically stimulate him. Sitka needs to be kept busy, he likes to be included in activities (going for car rides and hiking trails) with consistent training and a patient guardian(s) he will be a wonderful, loving dog to have around.
