Bear is a gorgeous, 10 month old, Presa Canario X Cane Corso who is looking for a dedicated and EXPERIENCED home.

Bear is social and sweet, but she definitely has a fearful side, and has the tendency to bark/growl when feeling uncomfortable (especially when meeting new people). Once she relaxes, she is your typical rowdy puppy that loves to investigate everything! She will try and clear off tables and countertops. Puppies need humans to teach them routine and structure, and also to keep them safe as they figure out the world. Bear was in a foster home where she lived peacefully with cats and other dogs.

Bear is working on her house-training, and crates very well. As she is a typical (big) puppy, a crate could be a useful tool to manage puppy chewing, etc. She needs a home that is committed to humane, fun training, and who also understands the responsibility that comes with a protective, large breed. Please research Presa Canario and Cane Corso dogs as they do not suit all lifestyles. They are very protective of, and loyal, to their family but can be wary of strangers.

A behaviour counselling session with our Adoption Staff is necessary before adopting any animal to help ensure success in the home.
