Lou-Lou came to the SPCA as a stray and sadly no one came looking for her. We don’t know a lot about her but here are somethings we’ve learned so far while she’s been in care:
Favorite toy and activity – Ball and Fetch
Knows some basic commands but is strong on leash.
Behaviors she is prone to: Excitability and Anxiety when left alone.
She would benefit from working with an AnimalKind trainer.
She’s looking for a Guardian who is: Active and will take her on lots of adventures.
Lou-Lou has shown reactivity towards other dogs and we don’t know if she has ever been around other types of animals before(i.e cats, horses) so her future home must allow her to be the ONLY pet and her guardian(s) will need to be prepared to do proper, controlled introductions and have a plan in place if she’s struggling and requires more time adjusting.
A behavior counseling session with our Adoption Staff is necessary before adopting any animal to help ensure success in the new home.
Submit an online application and staff will contact the first suitable adopter to set-up a visit! Kindly note that due to the high number of applications we will only be contacting potential adopters to further review their application.
