Meet goofy Gunther!

He came into our care as a stray and was not claimed. Gunther has shown some mouthy behavior in the shelter. His new owners should be prepared to work with an animal kind trainer to help manage this behavior. Gunther is very sweet around his people and has shown separation anxiety when he is left on his own. A patient, dog experienced family with a flexible schedule would be his ideal home. He will need to spend time alone in small increments to help him get comfortable. He has shown a prey drive in the yard and should not go to a home with cats. He has shown interest in the other dogs and with a slow introduction could potentially make doggy friends. Gunther would make a great companion with some training and care. 1.Visit our centre to meet this pet during viewing hours at 3202 Norland Ave, learn more about their ideal match and apply to adopt in person; or
2.Submit an online application adopt.spca.bc.ca and staff will contact the first suitable adopter to set-up a visit! Kindly note that due to the high number of applications and the availability of walk-in adoptions, an online applicant would have to be available to come in for a meet within 24 hrs.
