Meet Helen

Add to favourites

Helen came to the BCSPCA as a stray and sadly, no owners came forward looking for her, so she is now in search of a new family to provide the love and care she longs for. We don’t know the details of her past but she has showed us a few traits that her new people should know. Helen is shy when meeting new people or when confronted with loud noises, raised voices and sudden movements. We can guess she relates these to unpleasant incidences in her past. Helen is friendly with women and is becoming more comfortable with men. This sweet overgrown pup will need a knowledgeable home that can help Helen overcome her past. Helen is becoming a happy wiggle bum when she sees people she knows. She is working on her basic manners and house training. Helen enjoys walks but sometimes need reassurance that everything is okay. Helen loves playing with other dogs her own size!
Are you willing to put in the work to help Helen become the best dog ever? If so, here’s how: 1.) Visit our centre to meet this pet during adoption viewings Friday to Tuesday noon to 3pm, learn more about their ideal match, and apply to adopt in person; or 2.) Submit an online application adopt.spca.bc.ca and staff will contact the first suitable adopter to set-up a visit! Kindly note that due to the high number of applications and the availability of walk-in adoptions an online applicant would have to be available to come in for a meet within 24 hrs.
