Meet Mistletoe

Add to favourites

Meet Mistletoe! Mistletoe was brought in to the SPCA when someone in his neighborhood saw him struggling with a mouse trap stuck on his foot for weeks. He was understandably very scared and hard to catch but they finally did and he was brought straight to the vet to have it removed. He had to have surgery and a cast put on for a while but he is finally healed and ready to be adopted. We don’t know much about Mistletoe’s life before he came here but he was very shy of people and was very hungry. At first, he spent all of his time hiding in his carrier. Luckily for us, Mistletoe LOVES food and he would courageously approach you for some wet food or Churu. The staff and volunteers have been working a lot with him and he is starting to come around. Now he will hang out on perches in his room and he enjoys slow and gentle pets. He likes napping in his bed and watching out his window. Mistletoe lived outside for quite some time so he can have accidents outside of his litter box but he tries his best to use it. He is a very sweet cat who has had a very rough couple of months. This boy is looking for a forever home who understands cat behaviour and who can be patient and gentle with him. Mistletoe is a nervous cat so he should not live with children or dogs however he may be ok with another feline friend. This boy is shy and would likely run away if he was let outside so he will need to be an indoor only cat! If you think you can provide Mistletoe with the love and care that he needs, read about adoption!
