Meet Simon

Add to favourites

Simon is a friendly but initially cautious rat looking for his forever home. He did come in with 2 other rats, Alvin and Theodore, but they have had to be separated while Simon recovered from starvation. It appears that they also do not really get along well, so Simon is looking for a home of his own, ideally with a new male rat buddy or two who would welcome him into their pack since rats are social creatures. Proper, slow introductions will of course be very important.
Simon, Alvin and Theodore came to us as the previous owner was not taking adequate care of them. They were suffering from severe neglect without proper access to food or water for quite some time before arriving here at the shelter. Since being in our care Simon has gained quite a bit of weight and is now back to a healthy body condition! He has really come out of his shell and is showing us the friendly side of his personality. Despite his rough start to life he is a social guy, especially if you have some tasty snacks to offer him. Simon was the smallest one out of the 3 boys, he was severely emaciated and lethargic when he first came in but he has bounced back remarkably. Do you think you can give this little guy an amazing home and show him the love he deserves?
