Meet Khan

Add to favourites

Hi there,

My name is Khan, and my origin story is not a happy one. I was left abandoned in an apartment without food, water, heat, or light. Now I am living my best life at the shelter with all of the proper accoutrements. I am on a diet of yummy vegetables and some bugs. I am not at all interested in crickets, and prefer the more fatty bugs like mealworms. That will need to be a corrected behaviour in my new home. I am currently having daily soaks to help with my shed, as directed by my vet.

If adopted, I will need a tank size of MINIMUM 50 gallons, no ifs, ands, or buts about it! I will need lots of wood sticks, rocks, and hides to climb on, both on the cool and hot side of my enclosure. Previous bearded dragon care experience is necessary.

If you are interested in adopting me, please send an email to the Victoria shelter to inquire:

Thank you for your interest in adopting! Do you think you could be Khan’s person? Here are some ways to find out: 1. Visit the BC SPCA Victoria Center to meet this pet, learn more about their ideal match and apply to adopt in person; or

2. Submit an online application <> and staff will contact the first suitable adopter to set-up a visit. Kindly note that due to the high number of applications and the availability of walk-in adoptions, we will only be contacting potential adopters to further review their interest.

The Victoria Center is open for in-person adoption viewings Tuesday – Saturday, 1 – 4 pm and will use the following priority system: (1) pre-booked visits; (2) in-person applications; (3) online applications.

Animals cannot be held for potential adopters for more than 24 hours without a legitimate reason.

Have any questions? We’re happy to discuss over the phone Tuesday through Sunday, 10am- 4pm and can be reached at (250) 388-7722.
