Meet the ‘Shawshank’ sisters Andy and Red!
These two are very social and friendly bunnies who love to spend time with people! They adore playtime and treats and are happy to curl up in your lap for pets. Red sometimes forgets that she’s not a parrot though, and likes to climb up to sit on your shoulder instead!
These two share a love of adventure and clever escapes with their fugitive namesakes. In the shelter, both are known to easily hop over or squeeze between the bars of the x-pen enclosure they are kept in. This means that Andy and Red will do best in a home where they can be free-roaming bunnies as confinement away from people can be stressful for them.
Andy and Red came from a home where they were housed with many other rabbits in very close quarters and they do have some staining on their fur that reflects those conditions and their lack of litterbox training. They are also somewhat thin and could benefit from a weight-gain plan.
If you are interested in adopting these little escape artists, please complete an application at the link below and submit it to firstname.lastname@example.org along with a photo of their enclosure or free roaming areas.
