Meet Tamarin (22)

Add to favourites

This little monkey is Tamarin!

Tamarin came to us from an environment where she was housed with about 120 other cats in very close quarters and she didn’t have much of a chance to be around people. As a result, she’s still figuring out just what to think of them.

She is a curious girl but she has some anxiety that we are working to reduce. Tamarin always happy to explore the room while people are nearby, but feels shy when anyone directly approaches her. She loves to play “peekaboo” by popping her head out to say hello and then sneaking off to a new hiding spot.

This little one can be picky about cat companions and due to her nervous nature, she would likely do best as the center of attention in a single pet household. With patience and the willingness to go slow, we think Tamarin will come out of her shell more once she is adopted. An ideal home would be eager to help Tamarin feel confident in herself and respect her boundaries.

If you think you are the right home for Tamarin, please complete an adoption application for the Surrey SPCA!
