Meet Floki
Bulldog Alert!!!
Floki and his wrinkles are looking for the best friend a dog could ask for!
This spicy senior bully breed is one-of-a-kind and wants a friend that’s just as unique! Although he didn’t do a thing, this sweet boy lost his housing and is looking for a new place to call home.
He is house trained and can manage being left alone in a calm, quiet home.
He LOVES to meet new people and would love to stop to greet everyone he sees. Floki doesn’t contain his excitement, ferociously shaking his bum and wagging his tail until he gets some pets. He loves to lean on whoever it is that is giving him love so they know how much he cares.
Since he likes to be the main character, Floki would do best in a home without cats or other dogs. Due to his reactivity, Floki would not be suited to living in an apartment or a household with young children.
He is quite vocal when meeting other dogs and requires a calm and controlled environment to make furry friends. Floki is getting older so he is less likely to change some of his old ways. He needs to be supported through stimulating events so that he can be on his best behaviour.
His foster told us:
“He loves to curl up on the sofa and snore the day away. His favourite game is tug of war and chasing a toy around the yard when he gets his zoomies.
He is still quite reactive to other dogs, however with attention training (and a treat!), he is getting better at bringing his focus back to me when we pass other dogs on our walks. He would do best in a home with a yard on a quiet street, as loud trucks and buses tend to distract and excite him.”
In exchange for his calmer at home behaviour, Floki offers some higher maintenance needs for his diet, health, and behaviour.
We believe he would be well loved by someone looking to spoil this silly bulldogs end-of-life years.
He is famous! See him on CTV Vancouver Island here: https://vancouverisland.ctvnews.ca/video?binId=1.1180928
