Meet Rooibos *updated Bio*

Add to favourites

Meet Rooibos! Rooibos came to us with his two brothers when they were found as stray dogs and he is sadly the last of the three to find a home. Since his brothers have left the shelter, Rooibos has been very lonely in anticipation of finding his furever home.
Rooibos is a big, happy, goofy, laid-back puppy that is eager to learn new things. He will be best suited to a family that has lots of room for him to romp around and play- no apartment living for this boy. He would love access to a big fenced in yard or acreage! He gets along very well with his brothers and could do well with another patient, medium- Large breed dog in his new home. He is eager to learn and is treat motivated, so he could fit in well with a family or a single person, as long as they are aware of his big size and willing to help him learn not to jump and how to be a gentle giant. His people would need to be cautious with him around smaller children while he is still learning his jumping manners. He will need a confident person to guide him through the learning and socialization process. This big boy has a fluffy, beautiful coat and he enjoys getting brushed, so his new family will have to be committed to keeping his coat groomed and matt-free. Being a shepherd breed, Rooibos will thrive with lots of exercise and mental stimulation in his life every day and will need an environment where that is always an option for him. If you’re looking for a big, loyal teddy bear to keep you company during your active adventures, Rooibos may be the right fit for you!
